All About MyWay

Founder, Oxwell was born in Brooklyn, New York but spent her early years in West Africa, Ghana. Growing up in Ghana allowed her to explore the various cultural delicacies that the country had to offer. Although the selections of the traditional foods are fulfilling, balancing out meals with fruits and vegetables aided digestion. When she returned to Brooklyn her parents kept her and her siblings attuned to their Ghanaian and Nigerian cultures by continuing to create traditional meals while incorporating those same greens and other fruits. She loved trying new dishes, as she got older her tastebuds expanded to new flavors due to her environment. As good as it was to enjoy cultural and other related cuisines, overtime it interfered with her body weight. Sustaining her health became challenging as her weight kept fluctuating. Taking the “dieting” route by strictly consuming detox juices and salads was a sweet process in the beginning until it became uncomfortable. She struggled to find a balance with herself, which led to bad eating habits.
In 2017, she reflected on past methods that worked for her to sustain her health and kept her weight stabled. While still able to enjoy cultural and other related meals, she began to make smoothies and juices as alternatives to consume greens as meal replacements to help control her appetite and fulfilled. In 2019 MyWay Juices was introduced on a Instagram's social media platform to share Oxwell's experience from trying to find a balance with creating healthier habits. MyWay is about connecting with those experiencing struggles of seeking stability with their body weight while enjoying your favorite traditional and cultural cuisines.
